Mark Statman

Mark Statman has published fourteen books: nine of poetry, three of translation, and two on pedagogy and poetry. His writing has appeared in numerous anthologies and reviews. Emeritus Professor of Literary Studies at Eugene Lang College, the New School for Liberal Arts in New York City, he is a recipient of awards from the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Writers Project. Statman is a dual national of the United States and Mexico. He lives in San Pedro Ixtlahuaca and Oaxaca de Juárez, Mexico.
