Memoir 1960-1963

Tony Towle’s poetry career began in 1963, with his first major collection being North, the Frank O’Hara Award selection for 1970. To date, he has published fourteen books of poetry, most recently, Late Studies & Sketches. John Ashbery has written, “Tony Towle is one of the New York School’s best-kept secrets.” Towle’s Memoir 1960-1963 was a great success when it was first published twenty-five years ago. This second, revised, edition is about fifteen percent longer, and contains additional incidents taken from archival discovery and further recollection gathered in the interim.
