Our 58th year of continuous publication, with covers and an art portfolio by Gerald Marcus. It features a supplement of poems curated by Hanging Loose author Joan Larkin. Included in this issue are regulars such as Sherman Alexie, Jiwon Choi, David Shaddock, Rick Smith, Keith Taylor, Moira Walsh, Avra Wing, and translations by Wang Ping of Chinese poets Hei Fend and Yan li. Canadian poet Steve Horel, who published poems in HL #12 (1970), makes a reappearance, and there is a selection of seven prose poems by Barbara Henning from her forthcoming collection Girlfriend. Among the poets new to HL in this issue are: Jonathan Andersen, Mary Baines Campbell, Jason B. Crawford, Brian Cronwell, Amanda Deutch, Deborah Diemont; Katherine Edgren, Elaine Equi, Christine Hamm, Karen Kovacik, Jerome Sala, Sarah Sarai, and Alan Semerdjian, plus poems by seven outstanding poets of high school age.
